He has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal at Vitality Stadium.

Traore, 22, has joined from Sassuoloexternal-link on an initial loan which will become a five-year deal in the summer for a fee in the region of £20m.

The midfielder, who becomes Bournemouth's sixth January signing, has played 11 times for the Serie A side this season.

Bournemouth had already signed forward Antoine Semenyo for £10m, winger Dango Ouattara for around £20m and goalkeeper Darren Randolph this month, while Uruguay full-back Matias Vina joined on loan from Roma.

"We are absolutely delighted to bring Illia to the club and he arrives with a burgeoning CV," Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said.

"Despite only being 20, he has played at the highest level for club and country and has established himself as one of the most sought-after young defenders in the world.

"We are very much looking forward to seeing him continue his development with us and know he will be a valued and important member of our squad."

Blake added: "Hamed is another exciting prospect and we are delighted to have secured his services.

"He is young, ambitious and one of the hottest talents from Serie A. He fits the profile of the type of player we are looking to recruit and will significantly add to our creative resources.

"After Bill Foley had completed his takeover of the club last month, he said he would be investing in the squad and has certainly done so."
