Intellectual curiosity and social responsibility are mocked, society is consumed by cheap entertainment and commercialism, and the government makes its decisions in the best interests of big corporations. This subreddit is devoted to the film *Idiocracy* and to documenting the evolution of modern society predicted by it.

If "Idiocracy" was created TODAY, what kind of absurd trends would it poke fun at? What are things that may sound ridiculous today but could become our everyday reality in a couple of decades?
Here are a few of my ideas:
Deepfake presidents: Imagine politicians no longer needing to give speeches – instead, they license out their image to AI that perfectly mimics them to say whatever the campaign wants.
Subscription-based human rights: Want access to clean water? Sorry, that's on the "Premium Citizen" tier.
Influencer-run governments: Social media stars with the most followers get elected to high-level positions... regardless of any actual qualifications.

Autocracy, peak stupidity has been reached. People are collected into work camps and are not compensated. Disease and starvation kill most of the population. Only the extreme rich have access to quality food and health care and live to be well over 100.

I feel like the movie “Don’t look up” and the show “Upload” connect with me as an idiocracy fan kind of like spiritual successors.

It would predict a disgusting world where white people take over and are the dumbest people in the world, while minorities and marginalized groups, who are all geniuses, hide in secret matriarchal enclaves which are utopias. The main character would be a black woman who must navigate the hideous white privilege, systemic racism, and patriarchy, and teach the whites how not to be such pieces of shit, with the help of the hidden utopians who come to help her.
In the end, however, they'd conclude white people are lesser beings, like goblins, and go off and live in the utopia, knowing the whites will kill themselves off sooner or later, and the genius matriarchal utopians can take over the world which was rightfully theirs since ancient times, before white supremacists took it over.
Balance will be restored, and peace and utopian life will cover the earth since the whites, and the patriarchy, have been forever eradicated.
Haiti has something to say about “no whites=utopia”
That's what the racist white supremacist school system and the false histories created by systemic racists wants you to believe. In reality, Haiti is full of many of the smartest, most productive, talented people in the world. The only reason they are having problems is because of systemic racism and historical inequity. If they didn't have these obstacles, they would be one of the most wealthy and successful countries in the world.
White people have been using their power to keep Haitians down for hundreds of years, and are still doing so in the present. Even if whites aren't the cause of Haitian problems today, they are 100% to blame, since they caused them problems in the past that would take any race of people in that situation a thousand years to overcome, as anyone who knows history can attest to. If white people could kindly just fuck right off, Haitians would be dominating the world, alongside their brother and sister kings and queens from Africa, and all other blacks around the world.
This will never happen, though, because whites are scared of exactly this happening. They know they'd be inferior to blacks the second they gave them an even shot, so they rig every single system, even ones where it's not apparent, it has been rigged, either in modern times, or due to historical injustice which still affects marginalized communities today and will in the future for hundreds, or even thousands of years. That's how much damage whites have done to marginalized communities and black and brown people.
