He is survived by : his wife Frances Lucas; his sons, Garland Lucas (Kim) of Wilson and Doug Lucas (Lisa) of Pilot Mountain; and his granddaughter Brittany Lucas (Eduardo).

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church (5843 Shiloh Church Rd, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church (5854 Shiloh Church Rd, Wilson, NC 27896). A burial was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:45 PM at the Bailey Town Cemetery (11499 NC-581, Bailey, NC 27807).
