Anyone else nervous to look down there ?
I’m 5 weeks pp and had a 2nd degree tear.. I had a look once to check the stitches and because I had a rash from wearing the pads. I tore diagonally and the stitches were a bit weird because of this.
Now it’s surely healed, I stopped bleeding weeks ago, but I just can’t bring myself to look… I’m worried it’s going to look butchered .. I’m so not ready to have sex anyway, I think it wil be at least a few more weeks. Feeling a lot of fear around sex and the new look of my vagina .. anyone else? :(
100% yes. Except.. I did look briefly one day… I guess it could be worse than it is?
I’m having a hard time with the raised scar that is now a sensitive, permanent feature. I have a feeling whenever I am ready to have sex again.. I’ll be emotional.
ah totally agree. It’s going to be a big emotional moment when we finally do it again.. where’s the scar that you have? Did you tear also?
I did have a second degree tear and 2 stitches. It’s in the space between my vagina and.. uh, back door.
same as me! Only two stitches is good! I have no idea how many I have but I know I had internal as well as external
I looked once in the beginning, i have a 3rd degree tear. I am honestly not sure how different it is because i didnt look at it a lot before, but i am scared about having sex again. I am also panicking a little because at my 2 week appointment my ob said its healing but looks a little stretched out i am just hoping it goes back to where it was
oh that’s not nice of the ob to say that! Way to freak you out! You could do some tightening exercises perhaps?!
yeah i will try to find some plevic floor therapy, hopefully that will help!
I had an episiotomy, second degree tear, and another tear and I don’t even recall where that one is or what degree!!! I’m TERRIFIED to look, especially since the stitches are still bleeding and I’ve lost quite a few of them (3 weeks pp) so I don’t know if everything is even healing as it’s supposed to:(
oh I’m so sorry, how painful! I’m sure it’s healing well, I think you’d know with a smell or itch?! Good luck for when you do look!!
I looked and honestly couldn’t even tell what I was to be looking for so I had my fiancé look since he literally watched my entire labor and helped hold my legs open it wasn’t too bad when I looked though, I saw just some bruising and what not. But now 6 weeks pp and to me it looks back to normal.
oh amazing! And well done for your husband! Mine was too disturbed to look and considering I had like 4 freakin hemarroihds that flared up the week before I’m glad he didn’t!!
Is your man traumatized now from watching your L&D? My man watched mine and held my leg too. Now he’s traumatized and not sure if he can have sex with me again. He is a retired marine and said L&D was the weirdest thing he’s ever experienced.
It might be just me but while pregnant I had a lot of swelling and discoloration/darkening of the skin down there so now at 3 weeks pp it finally looks normal to me again. I was scared to look at first but was pleasantly surprised when I did
oh that’s great! I still have discolouring, like pigmentation which is so weird, I hope it returns to normal color before summer hits for swimsuits!!
i haven't looked... almost 3wks pp and a 3rd degree... it feels like all is healing well down there but i'm terrified to look still.
did your OB tell you to avoid certain movements with a 3rd degree? I had one as well and she told me not to open my legs or bend or pick up anything heavy. I try my best but with a newborn its tough to avoid all these movements
they actually didn't tell me any of that i was pretty careful the first week and then after that i've started doing pretty much everything as normal except carrying heavy objects!
ouch! I’m sure it’s healing well! Good luck for when you do look!
It’s not going to look butchered! I tore side to side 2nd degree tears with both of my kids. I do onlyfans and I’m 6 weeks postpartum and back at it Things are back to looking totally normal. I can see the scars from tearing if I look really closely but overall things really do just look like they always have.
omg I love that you are back at only fans already! Wow go girl! Did you do only fans while pregnant? And did guys (and girls!) have fetishes for this??!
I have some pregnancy stuff on there but not a ton though I’m sure there are people who are into that. Surprisingly there is a fetish about breastmilk which is fine, I can make a lil milk drip for ya if you pay me lmao
no way! Oh wow! Breast milk so interesting! Milk it while you got it then
I looked very very briefly… I couldn’t bring myself to try and look up
Close at the teared area. I had a 2nd degree with my first child and had weird stitches that took awhile to heal, I still have weird scar tissue from it!
I finally shaved my bikini line today. It was like walking through the jungle with a machete. Indigenous tribes were living down there.
I was afraid to look in the beginning and I wish I had. I've looked since it has 'healed' and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I had 2 tears. I can see the healed part in one of the places I tore. I don't think it will be noticeable later.
