I heard the title track for the first time a few days ago and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. I decided to check out the full album as a result, and this is fantastic. Why was the reception to this not positive?

all i’m going to say is…notice how a lot of the complaints fans and generally unfavorable reviews mention the echo the same criticism. that being, her sound evolving into one that is more “URBAN”. hmm…i’ll let you complete the puzzle on that one !
Those opening 3 tracks are so good but it does slowly dip in quality across the rest of the record...
