Choosing a school is a really big step and can be overwhelming.  Here at Hurst Lodge we have an experienced admissions team who have helped lots of families make the very same step.

At Hurst Lodge we like to offer something a little bit different to other schools. To help you get an understanding of what makes us different and to ensure we are right for your child we offer tours, taster days and transition days.  There are many aspects of school life that you need to see and we welcome families back to get the full picture.

We do not have a ‘one point entry’, we welcome students into school all through the academic year and into all Year Groups.

Our Admissions Process

Our admissions team at Hurst Lodge are there for you to talk to about your family’s needs.

After an informal discussion and review of your child’s reports, we will invite you to tour the school. 

Taster sessions will be the next step and it is at this point we would ask you to register with us.  (Our registration fee is £100 - non-returnable). 

Taster sessions can be an hour or two, a half day, a whole day or occasionally spread out across a week and will help your child to get a sense of the school and to meet students in their peer group.

After this, if we all believe that your child will thrive and benefit from everything we have to offer and you would like your child to join the Hurst Lodge family, you will receive an offer letter from us.  (If you choose to accept the offer, there is a deposit of £600 which is returned to you when your child eventually leaves Hurst Lodge).
