Biography

As a senior (2020)

• Earned second-team AFCA and third-team Phil Steele All-America accolades.
• Selected as Ivy League Offensive Lineman of the Year by Phil Steele.
• Named first-team All-Ivy League.
• Started 20 consecutive games at right tackle.
• Anchored an offensive line that led the Ivy League and ranked fifth nationally with 0.9 sacks allowed per game – three fewer than any other Ivy school allowed.
• The offensive line allowed a school record-low nine sacks, destroying previous mark of 17 (done three times) despite ranking second in the Ivy in pass attempts.
• Was second in the Ivy and 16th nationally in fewest tackles for loss allowed (4.2 per game).
• The team averaged 121.7 yards rushing with 12 touchdowns on the ground despite not having one individual average more than 7.0 carries per game.
• The Big Red didn’t allow a sack against nationally-ranked VMI, Colgate or Penn and no more than two in any game.
• Earned Academic All-Ivy League honors and was a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy,. college football's Academic Heisman trophy.

As a junior (2020)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a sophomore (2019)

• Named to the All-Ivy League second team on the offensive line.
• Started all 10 games at right tackle.
• Despite only one returning starter, he anchored a line that helped the offense increase its scoring average, total offense and rushing touchdowns from 2018.
• The line allowed one sack or less in five of the team’s seven Ivy games.
• Helped plow the way for an offense that rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns in a win at Marist.
• Opened holes for teammate Harold Coles' career-best 141-yard performance at Ivy preseason favorite Yale as the Big Red line surrendered just one sack.
• Helped pave the way for an offense that piled up 470 yards of offense and scored 37 points without allowing a sack in the win over Brown.
• The team had four games with more than 400 yards of total offense – including two 200-yard rushing games and five with at least 250 passing yards.
 

As a freshman (2018)

• Did not see varsity action.

Prior to Cornell

• Nourzad was a three-time all-region selection on the offensive line at The Walker School, including taking first team honors in his last two campaigns.
• He was a two-year captain who was named to all-state teams by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Recruit Georgia and the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.
• The Regional Lineman of the Year as a senior, he also earned first-team all-county accolades.
• Nourzad lettered in lacrosse and track and field, garnering all-region honors in the shot put.

• Hunter Lee Nourzad is the son of John and Jamie Nourzad and has an older sister.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
