A free 51-acre swamp forest in Palmas del Mar, Humacao, Puerto Rico. It's a nature walk through the Pterocarpus Forest (or El Bosque de Pterocarpus) through a wooded boardwalk. There are bilingual educational signs about the flora and fauna of the area all along the walkway. Unfortunately, Hurricane Maria damaged the home in 2017 and there are not funds currently for the necessary repairs. The home is not open for tours at the moment. - Bill DPalmas Del Mar, Puerto Rico42 contributionsRecently spent two weeks in Palmas and heard that a new restaurant had opened at the Yacht Club. It is called Ladi’s Place. We liked it so much that we made three trips there, twice with friends. The restaurant is well-appointed, has a huge patio complete with casual seating and a very nice outside bar that can accommodate quite a crowd.
The food and service are very good and pricing is in los be with other options in Palmas.
It can accommodate bigger groups so it is a very welcome addition to the stable of restaurants in Palmas Del Mar. Eventually went over to Laquillo to swim. There was a ton of seaweed but we did get to put our feet in and the salt water felt nice. The beach is quiet and tranquil, but there seemed to be biting ants in the sand so chairs would be a better option for sitting.
