With the Connecticut Sun pushing the semifinals series to a game five, the Chicago Sky will host the Sun at Wintrust Arena on Thursday with a trip to the WNBA Finals on the line. The winner of the Sky-Sun conference semifinals will play the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA Finals. The No. 1-seeded Aces punched their ticket to the championship round with a 97-92 win over the Seattle Storm on Tuesday night, ending the Western Conference semifinals in four games. The Aces now await the winner in the Eastern Conference with the WNBA Finals beginning on Sunday in Las Vegas.

With their season on the line, Connecticut stunned the Sky in a 104-80 blowout victory to extend the series to a decisive game five. DeWanna Bonner and Courtney Williams each scored 19 points in the rout, while Alyssa Thomas added 17 points for the Sun as well. Both Chicago and Connecticut will go the distance in the series for the second consecutive round.

The Sky are trying to be the first team to repeat as champions since the Los Angeles Sparks accomplished the feat in 2001-02. Six other defending champions reached the finals since then, but all lost.

The Sky will host the Sun in a winner-take-all game five with a trip to the WNBA Finals on the line on Thursday night at Wintrust Arena.
