Pros
Firstlight has been the best company I’ve been with. They pay well, they have flexible schedules, if you have an issue or concerns they are quick to fix it. They truly care for their clients
Cons
I really can’t think of a negative thing to say.

Pros
Great environment and friendly staff
Cons
Clients ever changing which can be tough to build
- 5.0Patient Care Assistant (PCA)Former Employee
Pros
Good pay Staff and owner was great
Cons
Having money taken out of my checks if they scheduled me for another client if I needed gas. I think the company should pay us for our gas if we need it because we are using our personal cars to go to different clients and sometimes the clients are far out.

- 4.0Caregiver/CompanionCurrent EmployeeMount Kisco, NY
Pros
The office staff is helpful and work hard. Pay is better than most other companies around, with adjustments for county,
Cons
Sometimes work is slow / limited choosing of cases may not get the hours you want if you don't take the first open case you hear about
- 2.0Home Health CaregiverCurrent Employee, more than 3 yearsMurrells Inlet, SC
Pros
Flexible Schedule, wonderful clients, an easy-to-navigate app to clock in/out with, only required to work one weekend a month, you can work as many hours as you would like, and the pay is decent compared to other companies.
Cons
Inaccurate information on many clients in the care log or demographics in the app, and a lack of communication in the office with caregivers. they encourage you to pick up shifts with incentives of extra pay or PTO that you don't receive, they don't address a problem directly, they send out mass emails/texts telling everyone. For example, if you always complete your shift notes you will still receive multiple texts telling you that shift notes are to be completed at the end of each shift. You are not given much information about clients until you agree to complete a shift.

Pros
Flexibility, lots of different clients, decent pay.
Cons
Not always consistent with the amount of clients you can get.
- 5.0Anonymous EmployeeCurrent Employee, more than 1 year
Pros
Great leadership, heartfelt mission and wonderful work/life balance! The CEO is incredible, vulnerable and a visionary.
Cons
Can’t think of one, truly a great team.
- 3.0CaregiverFormer Employee, less than 1 year
Pros
The people you serve are the best part of this job.
Cons
Was only ever scheduled for one client and all she needed was housecleaning so I was being paid minimum wage in order to clean one lady's house. Not at all what I expected a job in caregiving to look like.
