- C KMadison, WI740 contributionsWe thoroughly enjoyed Rideau Vineyard. Our guide was friendly, informative, and helpful. We ordered a charcuterie board to partake while wine tasting and bought several bottles because it was so good! Besides this, it was a gorgeous place, inside and out. We were not disappointed!Written February 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John FAustin, TX32 contributionsWe loved visiting this winery with three generations of our family. We three wineries over the course of the day and Fess Parker was our favorite! Adrianna was a fantastic host, loved her descriptions of the wine. We left with a bottle of Big Easy and were happy campers!Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - V2900IGsandrabBonsall, CA80 contributionsExceptional service and quality wine. Frank assisted us with our wine tasting. He was so knowledgeable about each wine and the surrounding areas.
We became wine members primarily because of the Pinot Noir and Syrah. Definitely try this Estate Vineyard tasting above the rest. You will be happy you did.Written May 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jimnickMontecito, CA206 contributionsThis is one of the only wineries I've been to that requires reservations. Given I've owned a winery that's saying a lot. Nonetheless once you get past that system and the technology is not that great, you're in for a treat that is the way the valley used to be before the movie sideways. The qualities of Rusack wine has always been excellent whether it's under the current winemaker or under John and Helen in the past. What made this tasting so impressive was they absolutely gear the tastings towards people and what they want. As an example if you're a wine club member they will have your wines ready for you based on your membership, or they may have a preference that you keep in their system and have that ready. They're just so many little touches that are unique. As an example when you come in you're greeted similar to a restaurant by someone at the front. They're checking not only your reservation and if you don't have one you're going to get turned away, but also pouring you a glass of Sauvignon Blanc just as you walk towards your table or seats. Once you're seated you will receive your pre-ordered cheeses or charcuterie plates and choose from three or four of the tastings. If you're a wine member they're even more benefits. The views are astonishing beautiful chairs overlooking the grapes sitting under three oak trees on a deck that's been built around those trees. The people who do the tastings are knowledgeable and can educate you and this is always a joy. I can't stress enough how unique this opportunity is. It is also limited because you're required to have reservations. But it's so worth making the trip and the plan.Written April 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- too_few_trips_1Irvine, CA1,010 contributionsWe returned to Firestone Vineyard for the first time in several years. The setting is very pleasant and the variety of wines on offer good. Pick your place at the bar carefully; some have great cellar/vineyard views.Written February 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SheilaIrvine, CA5 contributionsWe are members of Stolpman’s wine club and brought three of our friends here for a tasting session. We were fortunate to have Lisa (Elizabeth) serving our pours, and she was an absolute delight! She was so knowledgeable and friendly, and shared with us her impressive multi year background covering every aspect of the wine making industry from the vineyards to the tasting room. We loved hearing her impressions of the wines as well as her long relationship with Stolpman. We joined their club based not only on their great wines but also our admiration for their profit sharing program with their workers who produce the wine under the La Quadrilla label. Many thanks to Stolpman and to Lisa for the great experience!Written November 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laurie W1 contributionThis was my first experience at the Koehler Winery. Their selection of wines were wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting, both the whites and the reds. I especially enjoyed the dry Riesling and the Petite Sirah. Our host was friendly and engaging and very knowledgeable about each of the wines. And there was Leroy the beautiful and friendly black lab who greeted all visitors and Leroy made the experience that much more special. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured, a lovely outdoor setting. I will definitely revisit Koehler.Written March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- WillieMacfanHealdsburg, CA792 contributionsZaca Mesa has been on our list for awhile to visit. This trip south, we made reservations for a Friday afternoon. It was quite pleasant sitting on their patio. Not too crowded but we were warned weekends can get mobbed particularly since they have many weekend events. During the week, they normally close at 4 pm but staff stayed around sharing conversation with us and others for almost another hour.
Good selections on tasting menu. Ryan, our host, inquired as to what we favor in wines and guided us to try certain of their wines not specifically on their tasting menu. He was fun to talk to, clearly knows his wines and the wine business. With his guidance we bought six bottles not on the tasting menu though everything we tasted was quite good.
Would join their club but location is just too far for us to regularly pick-up and since we travel frequently we don't want to do shipments. But definitely will visit again on a future trip to the areaWritten June 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was really hot, so we were inside and didn't get to gaze at the beautiful views while tasting.
The service was good, and engine was friendly. We sometimes had to probe for information about the wine.
The tasting fee is fair for what you get, and the charcuterie pack has a nice assortment.
We found it odd that there were no Australian wines available when we were there.Written September 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Is very good and the wines and location make it even better. A great dinner option in the SY Valley.Written September 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tony FYork, UK562 contributionsWe were walk in visitors , and had a great experience with a young lady sommelier who guided us through the company wines .
This is a Syrah led outfit , concentrating on Rhone style Reds , and they do it really well .
My wife bought the Rose to bring home , as it’s not available in the U.K. and in her opinion was comparable with her Minuty favourites .
The snack accompaniment was less impressive , we had crackers and a little brie , nothing wrong with the products , but in a nice spot like this , a little more choice would probably bring them a lot more revenue .
This is a great wine tasting venue , competitive in price , with a great atmosphere on the terrace … highly recommendedWritten April 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
