I have 250 Dutch guilders that I acquired on a previous trip (pre-2002). I understand that there was a 10-year conversion period for these that ended in 2012. (Fair enough.) However, I'd still like to get some use from these, if possible. Anyone have any ideas, or can you suggest a way I can convert them to Euros?

Apparently you can still exchange them for Euros at the DNB (Dutch Nederlandsche Bank) in Amsterdam in person. The DNB is near the Frederiksplein

Does not give any time limit but I would call them to make sure.

407 helpful votes Yes the window for _coins_ closed last year. The one for banknotes is still open for quite a few more years; requires visit in person to Frederiksplein counter at specific hours of the day.

Eirlover, try again €115 is approx $150 USD. Well worth taking to the bank I guess.
Missduke unfortunately I don't think you will find your 250 guilders goes as far as it did 10 years ago.
