Google Classroom Review

PROS: It integrates seamlessly with Powerschool, where I input attendance and grades. As a result I save time in inputting grades in the record book.

CONS: I hope there is a way to remove sudents who are no longer in my class in the roster I import.

PROS: I am able to customize my Google Classroom according to my needs. I can add materials, assignments, announcements, and Google forms easily. I can also organize what I upload into categories so I won't find clutter in my classroom.

CONS: I want to involve the parents more in the Google Classroom. I want them to be able to see what I teach, not just their children's grades.

PROS: Giving out tasks to students is very simple with Google Classroom. You can integrate other G suite products so students can easily submit what they've done. Teachers can also assign tasks by uploading a video.

CONS: I hope to have more grading options with Google Classroom. Currently, it only allows us to give grades on a 100-point scale.

PROS: Google Classroom is the future of education. It helps students and educators to communicate outside the typical classroom setting. It is very useful for long-distance learning and, better yet, it is absolutely free.

CONS: I think giving the platform more updates will be beneficial to keep up with other platforms similar to it.

PROS: I can use it anywhere and in any device - mobile, laptop, or desktop. It also keeps up to date with the latest technology in virtual learning.

CONS: I can't edit assignments easily when I've already made it available for students to view.

PROS: Google Classroom product is great and very useful for any teacher and student. As a teacher I can easily provide feedback, share and receive files, upload videos and links, set discussion topics. I am able to share files across devices. And I don’t need to use paper anymore.

CONS: The issue I have with Google Classroom is the same with the issue I have with Google Docs, the thing is when students share their work with each other, some students can edit and even delete the other’ student work/homework. I often hear complain of a student who erased another student’s project.

PROS: I am a teacher, and I simply love this program. The days of pen, paper and grading are slowly decreasing. I can easily create, upload and set assignments into virtual classroom. Google classroom program allows me to track the progress of my students, and which students have completed the tasks. I am able to post announcements and I can do the grading online. I can even upload videos and links.

CONS: I think the Google classroom lacks many features. It would be great if they could make the program as a personal webpage where the interface can be all-in-one program.

PROS: I use google education apps for more than 2 years, and I am very satisfied with this product. I can save time and keep my class organized and I have improved the interaction with my students. Google Classroom is great tool for my students because they are more productive and focused on the tasks. I am able to give them feedback, I can create and upload assignments, create discussion boards, create new lessons and make them participate. The other good thing about Google Classroom is that is free and available for non-profit institutions.

CONS: I found that is difficult to implement other alternative educational methods.

PROS: Google Classroom is essential for technology working in a school. It is very effective for students and makes assignments and announcements productive. Students have the opportunity to use Google Apps to organize their assignments and teacher can help students to edit their papers with applying comments or suggestions so students can correct their mistakes without looking at the errors and not correct them. It is very effective because students improve their computer skills too.

CONS: The interfaces are slightly different in different apps. Sometimes I lost myself in the difference between them, even though they are from Google. The Classroom is very reliable, but I have almost no complaints about it.

PROS: Google classroom has change the way I work with my students. It makes the assignments, readings and lecturing smoothly process. We have great interaction between me and my students and between my students. I love the question and answer features that allow us to see every response, and that is great because everyone can participate in debate and discussion. This program helped us to create balanced classroom environment.

CONS: I think some features could be more organized and simple, for e.g. I don’t like the process where I need to return to the home screen when I’m going from student profile to another student profile. I would like to see this feature more simple and time-saving.

PROS: The good thing about Google classroom is that you don’t need to waste time to learn how to use the program. It is very flexible, intuitive and easy to use. My students figured out how this program works in few minutes after logging in. If there was something unclear, we could easily find tutorials on how to do the thing. Google Classroom makes it easy with sharing documents and my students don’t forget to send their work to me so I can review it and grade it.

CONS: To tell the truth, Google Classroom is not real Course Management System, it’s just a tool to use and share, because we as teachers cannot organize posts into units. I would like to see class website where I can share and pin important posts on top. Sometimes my students cannot open PDF file via their iPads, they do not have permission to view the file, but some students don’t have this kind of issue. It is strange. I wish I could see more detailed my student’s work, what they are doing and when, when they switch to GoogleDocs I can see every step they make when it comes to editing, working and sharing.

PROS: Google classroom is clear and organized platform for teachers. It provides great communications with their students, allowing discussion boards, creating tasks and homework, collaboration and general information. Students are allowed to reply to every information and question that comes from their teachers. They are able to discuss on specific topic and share their homework with each other. It offers reminders to get things done on time. Great and easy to use program, it is very intuitive and creative.

CONS: I don’t like that I cannot have all my classes in one place. Some teachers don’t use all its features but some don’t even know how to use its features. I think they need to create better tutorials for teachers so we can easily learn how to use this program.

PROS: I love the ability to create document and assignment via Google Classroom and share the document with every student. They don’t need to send me the assignments via emails anymore, all they need to do is to work on the task directly into Classroom, to turn in assignment and I have their work. I am able to read it, assign grades and return the assignments when I finish.

CONS: I don’t have any dislikes by now. At first I didn’t like the alphabetical order by first name of each student, and when I complained they fixed it. They are great when in listening to suggestions.

PROS: Google Classroom is great tool and it is very easy to use. You can create your own dashboard for each class. Each class has unique registration code and you can even remove users/students if necessary. Every class has announcements, discussion boards, assignments and you and your students can share/post links. As an admin, you can set deadlines and post digital assignments there. This is great because you can see which student has finished the task and when. You are even able to keep track of their activities in certain Google programs and to see whether they are working on the assignments or no. You can even “reuse” lectures from another class so you don’t need to type the same subject/lecture over again. And what’s most important, Google Classroom makes folder in my Google Drive account of all assignments.

CONS: There is nothing to dislike about this program.
