I never get tired of this.
They do such a great job, and it is so cleverly put together, that you cannot help but enjoy it. Not scary, just fun. In other words, you can bring kids. It's an outdoor show, repeating about every 20 minutes. Be sure to turn off your headlights when you are parking so you don't run it for everyone else.
A Halloween tradition!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 28, 2023
What a cute Halloween show disguised as a front yard display!
This house has quite the hype, so expect a bit of a crowd if you're planning a visit this upcoming week. Parking is wherever you can get it on the residential street.
The show starts up every 10 minutes from 7-9pm between now and Halloween. There's no actual home to enter, it's all outdoors.
We were cold and left after one round, but some people stayed for another go. There's a lot to see in one show.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Diana L.Valley Glen, Los Angeles, CA06Oct 21, 2023
I saw this show pre-pandemic and it was AMAZING! I could not believe it was a free show. It's so entertaining that I would always leave a donation. The production value was so worth the drive to Woodland Hills. However, last year, when I drove back out there, it was a shortened version and I noticed some effects that were not used compared to previous years. It's still a good show, but because I remember to original version. This one just pales a bit in comparison to the older versions. I'm wondering if they will ever bring back the other, longer version.

We have been coming here for years. The couple who put this on, put a lot of work and effort into it, and we in the neighborhood are so grateful for it! The special effects are terrific. We love it!

A wonderful tradition with our family for the last decade! So happy they are opened again! The production value is as amazing as haunted mansion at Disneyland and it's free! Parking is easy and a new cycle of the show play every 10 minutes so if you walk up in the middle of one it won't be too long until the start of the next one! It's kid friendly but also not boring for the adults! We always leave a little donation as appreciation at the box..thanks so much to the owner of this home for giving such a gift to the community and families all over LA!

I've been here half a dozen times. The production hasn't changed much from what I've seen. Kudos to the people who created such an elaborate production. Kudos also to the neighbors who put up with all the traffic and parking issues. Go the first chance you get because they don't do it every year and I'm sure they'll shut it down for good at some point. The story is kind of dark so it's not for little, little kids.

The House on the Haunted Hill is one of these places that makes you feel lucky that you live in LA. It's a wonderful spectacle put together by professionals who love movies and Halloween.
This is a private house in the hills, right off Canoga Ave. It's decorated for Halloween and has wonderful props, projections that create a cool Halloween event. It's a show that has a story, inspired by old Hollywood. It starts on one side of the house and continues on the other side (so we watched the show twice from each angle, it lasts about 10 minutes and it's worth to see all the details) at the cemetery with ghosts and a bride coming out of the grave. It's gothic, classic horror. Very spooky and atmospheric, just what you need for Halloween.
There's a voice over that narrates the story, good special effects, creepy sounds and music and lights that make the show a special spectacle. It's not a ride or a haunted house, no one jumps at you, you just sit and watch and enjoy the show. It's not very scary since kids attend it.
The House on the Haunted Hills is in Woodland Hills, off Caboga Ave, to the left, on Saltillo. Parking is a bit tricky, come early, folks show up, it gets crowded. Park in the neighborhood, passed the house. Some people park on Canoga on the opposite way, but there are no sidewalks, it's a one way road, not very safe.
Check their site before you go for days and hours. Last year (2015) they didn't do it, so make sure to do your homework. Hope they'll do it again and more people will get to enjoy it. It's a cool experience, very LA, wonderful performance, executed with so much professionalism. And, no, you don't need to go to major parks to have some Halloween fun thanks to the cool people who invite us in front of their house, entertain us and and creep us out. It's a more intimate, cooler experience.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Kristeena L.Whittier, CA1103Oct 20, 2018
This was a crazy fun experience! Great scares and the perfect timing to complete a maze of horror. The landing in the balls was the best part of the experience !!! I almost cried mercy a few times but did it!! Great maze 17 door!

Halloween is my favorite time of the year and I have to say that this place is AWESOME!
It has a very Disney Haunted Mansion feel to it.
I was making my halloween plans today and saw on their Facebook page that they won't be running it this year and I'm really bummed about it. It says they will do it in 2016, so I guess I will have to wait.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Karina F.Los Angeles, CA65516Nov 1, 2017
Took my kids this past Saturday and it was such a cool place. We got there at a time where it wasn't too crowded, but by the time we left it people were definitely starting to show. We watched the show about 3 times. I wanted to get my kids in the front so they can see and it was worth it. My kids and we really enjoyed it. A lot of awesome details. The walk to the house is a bit creepy so take a flashlight. Although creepy the walk isn't long. It's worth it and it just adds to the Halloween spirit which I love! I for sure see us going next year.
