Israel shares horror moment man turns himself into Hamas in bid to save his family

Yarden Bibas, the father of 10-month-old Kfir Bibas, Hamas' youngest hostage who was killed before his first birthday, is thought to be the man in the video.

A horrific video showing a man turning himself into Hamas covered in blood amid the October 7 atrocities has been shared online.

In the graphic clip, Yarden Bibas is seen surrounded by shouting men as he sits on his motorbike dripping in blood.

The next section shows a man waving around his gun as he yells out while onlookers film with their smartphones during the kidnapping.

The clip was shared by Isaac Herzog, the Israeli president.

He wrote in the post, which he shared on X: “The world must not remain silent in the face of such crimes. Bring them home now!”

Kfir’s brother Ariel, 4, and Yarden’s wife Shiri were also abducted from the Kibbutz Nir Oz during the terror attacks on October 7.

Hamas has claimed the wife and two children were killed an Israeli airstrike.

The father of the family reportedly turned himself into the terror group in a bid to have his wife and kids spared.

But none of the Bibas family members were released during a weeklong ceasefire in November, when other women and children were freed.

But Nili Margalit, who was held hostage by Hamas for nearly 50 days, was.

She said she was with Yarden when Hamas informed him his wife and two young children had been killed.

Margalit says Hamas ordered Bibas to film a video blaming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for refusing to return their bodies to Israel

Hamas took an estimated 253 hostages into Gaza during the terror attacks against Israel on October 7.

Around half were during the temporary ceasefire in November.

Last month, Israeli officials said that at least 32 of the remaining 136 hostages held captive in Gaza by Hamas had been killed.

But the Israeli response has since been condemned by the international community as an estimated 44,000 Palestinians and counting have been amid the IDF’s bombing campaign.

Israel has said it will not stop until the 130 individuals believed to still be in captivity are released by Hamas. It also wants to see the terror group wiped off the face of the Earth before it stops.
