Several fireworks shows were delayed due to weather on Saturday. But the show went on in Nashua this Fourth of July.
Sunday’s show at Holman Stadium got underway around 8:30 p.m. The fireworks will be shot from an area just beyond the left field fence.
After being cancelled last year due to the pandemic, Nashua’s Fourth of July celebration was at full capacity this year.
Gates opened at 5 p.m. and more than 3,000 people packed inside the ballpark and just outside the ballpark.
The city will not be hosting field day, but there will be concessions, food trucks and a hall of fame induction prior to the fireworks.
Organizers said the weather cleared up just enough for them to still have the show on Sunday.

“I think people are kind of getting back out at their own pace, but it’s going to feel like this is first, ‘Alright here we go, we’re back outside.’ Everyone’s enjoying one singular event,” said Cam Cook from the Nashua Silver Knights. “So, that’s what we’re hoping for.”
The fireworks lasted about 20 minutes. Organizers said it was a great night to celebrate Independence Day.
As vaccination rates increase and more people return to pre-pandemic life, show organizers hope this is just the beginning of what's to come.
"This is going to be us taking the first step into returning more and more each year," Cook said. "So, it's kind of just fireworks, just music, just the Hall of Fame induction this year. But, we're going to be able to look at this year next year and say, 'Alright, let's add the kids zone, let's add some inflatables.'"
