Boy George – High Hat

After the unsuccessful "Tense Nervous Headache" album in 1988, Boy George quickly recorded more commercial sounding tracks and released "Boyfriend" in 1989. Neither were released in North America where a compilation using tracks from both albums was released instead, as "High Hat". Cover art is the same as on "Boyfriend" except it has been reversed. This 'duplicated' artwork is also simply a variation of the art already used on "Headache".

All the Gene Griffin produced tracks were picked from "Boyfriend" ("Don't Take My Mind On A Trip", "I'm Not Sleeping Anymore", "Whether They Like It Or Not" and "You Found Another Guy"), the rest are from "Headache". All singles taken from the 'core' albums appear on "High Hat", all except "No Clause 28".

Singles from the album include "Don't Take My Mind On A Trip", which appears in its original form (aka "LP Version" on 'Trip' US promos), "Whisper" and "You Found Another Guy". "Don't Cry" is a shortened, somewhat 'drier' mix. "Something Strange Called Love" is an edit.
