How do we find a house quickly?
Based in the North East.
We have been given a three month notice (will be issued 1st May) to move out of our current property because the landlord has ran into some financial difficulty and is selling (as well as 5 others of the 12 other properties he owns).
I'm panicking because if we don't find a place by end of July, we'll basically be homeless.
We have been looking at a 10 - 15 mile radius from Chester le Street (although we currently live slightly further down than that) because I work in Durham/Newcastle and want to move closer for stability but there's just so much competition and too many people are going after decent houses/areas. How are we going to be able to get one? I've been using every waking moment to enquire about houses and have forgotten to eat most of the time - I've already come across two I've not bothered with because they were conducting "block viewings" and we'd have no chance.
To make matters worse, I've just started my new job and currently only have one (not even a full) payslip. I will start a second position in a couple of weeks, when I'm back from visiting my husband from abroad, putting my gross income to around just shy of £33k. This will be 5/7 days but I'm looking to start 6/7 days a week. My brother and mother have been working longer, but only work part-time and would need to leave their jobs and find somewhere else, leaving me as the sole income earner for the time being. This this leads a lot of housing agencies to ask for a guarantor which we don't know anyone for.
On top of that, we have pets and some of the adverts don't even clarify if they've been considered until we've filled in the form and wasted our time.
I have a few showings on Monday/Tuesday, but I work 12 hour night shifts from Mon - Wed, so I'm going to need a lot of Starbucks coffee.
Does anyone have any advice, at all? I might have to start looking at decent bridges on Google Maps to move under.

Best bet is to call up each EA in the area you would like to rent and let them know your circumstance and requirements and move in date. Do not sound too desperate it is no need and won’t get you extra points. Just let them know how good a tenant you are etc.
