Audience Member Let's stop talking. Let's start fighting. Hercules has finally settled down with a wife and family when a beautiful maiden arrives on his doorstep with stories of a hole to hell that is doing unthinkable things to her town. Hercules springs into action and discovers he has to sacrifice himself, in a way, to save her town. When his wife discovers he's dead, she plunges into despair and kills herself. Hercules will need to save his wife and fight his way out of hell. "The next thing to break is your neck." Bill Norton, director of More American Graffiti, Gargoyles, Angel of Death, Them, Thirst, and episodes from the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Law & Order, and Roswell, delivers Hercules in the Underworld. The storyline for this picture is very mediocre and felt like the television series with a little more gory action. The acting was terrible and the cast includes Kevin Sorbo, Anthony Quinn, Michael Hurst, and Marley Shelton. "I bet there's something else I can do better than Hercules." I came across this while flicking through the channels and decided to DVR it. I am a fan of mythological pictures and my dad used to be a fan of this series. Unfortunately, this is as bad as I remembered the series being as a kid. Everything about this is mediocre to bad. I recommend skipping this picture unless you're a fan of the television series only. "The ancient gods were petty and cruel." Grade: D- Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It's an OK outing for Sorbo as Herc..Nothing special Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member i love mythology, especially when it's fun too. sorbo does a great job, and is as natural in front of the camera as any actor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member still as great as i remembered definitely a fun time totally cool flick Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the many tv sitcoms that kept me infront of the boobtube... where i belong. realistically, this will be a biased rating.
