Summary


Change. A most fearful thing to some, but rather inevitable in any society. Some will herald and enjoy change while others will fight against the tide to keep everything as it is. And the most fierce of fights will be over those inexplicable and gossamer things called morals, which each person defines for themselves and no two persons can usually agree on.

Society's view of "morality" changes like the swinging of a pendulum. One swing will bring very strong strictures against anything considered "immoral", especially sexual things, and as the pendulum swings back in the other direction, there comes an "anything goes" view, especially of sexual things. This is a story about the latter swing of the pendulum.

For many years, societies worked to define human rights in broader and more encompassing terms. Governments were pushed to extend and broadly define "human rights" so that citizens would not be discriminated against on the basis of religious beliefs, age or sexual orientation. Once homosexuality was deemed an acceptable and protected orientation, the question arose as to what age should be the dividing line where homosexuals could participate in consensual sexual activities. Soon similar rights were defined in regard to age, reducing the age for sexual consent.

Children were deemed to have all rights similar to those of adults and began to be considered in the eyes of the law as "small adults". Thus led to the situation in a certain western society where children of all ages were allowed to not only enjoy their sexuality, but encouraged to do so. More than encouraged. Laws against pedophilia vanished along with any negative connotations. The only thing that actually remained illegal was violent non-consensual or coerced activity. If a young person wanted to have sex with any other person - of any age and in any perversion - that was allowed, but they could not be coerced into doing so. At least, that was the idea.

Naturally, children and young people being the impressionable, inexperienced and immature beings that they are could usually be manipulated into "wanting" to do things that would otherwise require coercion. Especially by manipulation in the popular media. But with everyone rather free to do whatever they wanted to do with each other, physical or mental coercion was not often needed. The news and entertainment industries realized windfall profits by exploiting the new found freedoms of these immature citizens. (Sound familiar?)

The youth movement started a whole industry of sexual exploitation of the kids from every stratus of society. Whole shopping venues dedicated to the sexuality, exploitation and exhibition of the young developed, and videos and television shows were created to take advantage of, exploit and drive the youth mania. Nothing seemed to be taboo any more and what they did was quite amazing.

In our story, we will follow a few specific families and groups who were caught up in the whirlwind of this pendulum swing to the extreme and see just how they adapted to it.


A number of years ago, a reader of my asstr.org stories contacted me and asked if I would write a custom, very extreme story for him for pay. Having had bouts of writers block, I declined the commission, since I didn't know if I could or would be able to complete anything that I started at that point. I was pretty involved in my Zoo Mom and Summertime series and would feel rather bad if I couldn't satisfy the commision for any reason. But I took the basic idea and started writing, giving my reader the results, privately. He loved the story as it had developed and said it was fine with him if I published it.

This is the story that developed from that. I was right in that after banging out several chapters, the muse escaped me and I never did any more with it. It's been sitting and at some point I may revisit it and add to it beyond the four chapters that I'd written.
