I was staying at Relais Henley, the charming boutique hotel in which this restaurant is housed - & so booked for dinner. Food was absolutely fantastic. Expertly cooked, flavoursome dishes, prettily presented. Whilst the food can very definitely be described as fine dining, the vibe of the restaurant is easy going, with fun, friendly service. It was very quiet though, so did rather lack atmosphere. I wasn’t familiar with chef, Dominic Chapman prior to my visit, but a quick look over his bio reveals stints at the likes of The Fat Duck & Hinds Head. The quality of cooking seen here certainly reflects those starry standards.
