Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen recently talked about his legacy as an actor as he played Anakin Skywalker in two films and a growing number of Disney+ shows.

Speaking at Awesome Con, in a video shared to X (formerly Twitter), Christensen was asked what he wants his legacy as an actor to be. “I don’t think that way,” the Canadian actor said. “But to get to be a part of Star Wars and get to play this character [Anakin Skywalker], that’s really been the greatest blessing in my professional life.”

Christensen went on to discuss his hope that his performance as Anakin Skywalker will live on in the future. “I suppose…you’re going to have to see. As a creative person, you hope to create things that will work out and outlive yourself. And I feel like with Star Wars, we get a bit of that.” Christensen played the Jedi in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, before coming back to play Anakin/Darth Vader in 2022’s Obi-Wan Kenobi. Christensen also played Anakin in last year’s Ahsoka, and his voice can be heard briefly in the final moments of The Rise of Skywalker.

Ahsoka Season 2 is Coming Soon

Christensen could be set to head back to a galaxy far, far away soon, as Lucasfilm and Disney announced earlier this year that a season 2 of Ahsoka is in the works. Anakin had a prominent role in the first season, appearing in four of the eight episodes, so it seems likely that Christensen will return again.
