Absolutely must do! You can feel and see that the town is degrading continuously, but you can also have a glimpse of what all that old and majestic buildings would look if refurbished. Very safe to walk through, even late at night. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, plenty of places to see. At least to do once on a lifetime.

Nice place to visit, a lot of people, very animated location, music, fun and restaurants in the area. The walking tour will naturally lead yo to this spot, so do not miss it!

It use to be called "The pearls neckless of Habana"...we've been told that at night, from the sea, the lights from Malecon looks like a neckless at the neck of the old lady. Anyway, a long promenade to walk, cycle etc.

We absolutely loved it, a haven for all kind of interesting art that is greatly displayed in a variety of rooms, patios, and very interesting open spaces. The half hour theater presentation was excellent and could be well enjoyed by non Spanish speaking folks. The late night dancing was a highlight.

The most interesting thing I saw in Havana. Part Architecture part living museum, the Fusterlandia house and the neighborhood are something that must be seen. If you appreciate quality original art work and sculpture you will love this area. Cost $2 donation to get full access to everything on the property. Be sure to check out the art gallery on the 2nd floor to buy original pieces.

The cathedral is really impressive, not the largest that you might have seen, but still quite size impressing. The stones are marked by the time...like almost everywhere else in Habana...Around you can find some of the best restaurants in town.

One on the few refurbished monuments in Havana. Extensive museums about the region, the people, the Spanish colonization. It is quite modern. Be aware that the access is quite tricky, you should either take the small boat (lanchita) and walk for 2 km (almost free, you should pay 2 cuban peso for the boat!) or you should take the tunnel, but the taxi can cost you some 15 eur from the city (like 3000 peso). Also, be aware at the small shop near the castle, the prices that they are proposing are at a hotel level!

Nice museum. I went here after Museum of fine art where you can find wide choise of antic preistoric Greece, Egypt, Etrustian, some Eurupean countries and Americans art.
I expected I will find some old pieces of art if not B.C. like antic then before Spanish invasion or at least from that period.
Contrary, you can see art history from the XX century on. Mostlly from 1930-ies to 1990-ies.

Great for photos outside but we also bought tickets in the office across the road and had a tour inside. These are on the hour at set times. Our guide was very good and spoke excellent English. We found it an hour well spent to see the interior and hear some of the history

At first look it is not but a huge empty space, but because it is meant to gather a huge crowd during celebrations.
The main icones are the two faces on the state buildings, also a good place to see the old cars which bring tourists.

Unfortunately, this teatro currently doesn't have any active productions since it needs major repair work, with no date in site for completion. The building is a masterpiece and has awesome views from the roof . Be careful, this isn't California and the stairs on the roof are not ADA compliant.

This is a a historical site, a fortress with a beautiful view overlooking the water and Havana. This visit will take about 45 minutes and will take you through many old buildings. I highly recommend this visit. The cost is about $3.00 dollars.
