Fees and Deposits

Fees for 2023/24

Termly fees are £16,850 and include board, tuition, textbooks, a stationery allowance and laundry, and are paid in advance by the first day of term. For any subject requiring additional tuition, there is an extra charge.

We offer a Fees in Advance Scheme which may be of interest to parents wishing to pay a lump sum. For further information, please contact our Finance department.

Registration Fee

Our registration fee is £350 (non refundable).

Entry Deposit (UK and overseas)

An applicant who is offered and accepts a place at Harrow is asked to pay an Entry Deposit of £3,000: £1,500 is returned at the end of his first term, and the remaining £1,500 is deducted from his final bill.

In Year 9, if an applicant fails the Common Entrance or Academic Scholarship examinations, or is advised by his prep school to withdraw in the expectation that he will not reach the required standard, his Entry Deposit will be refunded in full.

Additional Deposit (overseas only)

An applicant who is offered and accepts a place at Harrow, and who has at least one parent residing overseas, is asked to pay an Additional Deposit of one full term's fees in advance: this sum is refunded in full on his final fee bill.

If an applicant withdraws having given a full term's notice before his year of entry, his Additional Deposit will be refunded in full.

Acceptance Fee

A Year 9 applicant who secures his place at Harrow by passing the Common Entrance or Scholarship examinations is charged an Acceptance Fee of £500 on his first bill (received in the July preceding his September start at Harrow).
