Harmony: by King Charles III Kindle Edition

A blueprint for a more balanced, sustainable way to live in the face of climate change, by King Charles III.

This compassionate and insightful book shines a light on our new monarch’s deep interest in the world around us.

Long before the words ‘climate change’ became a universal catchphrase, our new monarch, King Charles III was studying the impact of industrialization on the environment. In this fascinating work, he explores the way in which mankind must work to restore the delicate balance with nature that we've lost in the centuries since the industrial revolution began.

King Charles III examines how areas as architecture, farming and medicine have each abandoned the balance with nature that existed in pre-industrial times. More than simply another treatise on global warming, Harmony presents a clear, thoughtful look at how our growing disconnection from nature has accelerated the greatest environmental crisis in the history of mankind.

From the Back Cover

HRH The Prince of Wales reveals how the solutions to our most pressing modern challenges, from climate change to poverty, can only be found in regaining a balance with nature.

For decades, The Prince of Wales has studied a wide array of disciplines in his quest to understand how modern industrialization has led us to a state of disharmony with the world around us and pushed us to the very brink of disaster. Now, Prince Charles shows how we can effectively combat such global crises as climate change and poverty by not only relying upon technology but also by changing the way we view the modern world.

With its holistic approach, this provocative and well-reasoned book takes the discussion of sustainability and climate change in a new direction, incorporating the traditional wisdom of our past with the modern science of our present to create a new vision for our world. Illustrated with vivid photographs and charts, this intelligent, practical, and illuminating guide is not only a call to arms in defense of our future but also a powerful weapon in the battle to save our planet.

Reflect a little on what matters.
I’m glad I purchased this book. It’s wonderful to reflect on how we can look at how we got to where we are and respect our past. Reading the text and exploring the pictures makes me realize that I haven’t been really looking at everything deeply, so from now on, I’m going to try harder before any more time is wasted.
