HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Meet Elvis, a handsome, sweet and happy-go-lucky 1-year-old male Bloodhound who's never met a foe, up for adoption at Blue Ridge Humane Society!

This big boy loves other dogs and kids.

"He can run and play, but as you can also see, he can sit and pay attention, which, for his type of dog is pretty impressive," said Sam Johnson, with Blue Ridge Humane Society.

He takes treats very gently and is interested and curious about what is going around him.

He would be a great fit for a family with children or just anyone who can help him run some each day and get out his energy!

Blue Ridge Humane Society has a special happening March 29-30 called "I Like Big Mutts and I Cannot Lie," during which the adoption fee for every larger dog over 40 pounds is just $5!
