‘Happy Slashers’ Animated Web Series Seeks Funding

Happy Slashers

Happy Slashers is a planned animated web series that takes our favorite slasher movie murderers and places them into a colorful sitcom. A crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo has been launched to help fund the series, and a teaser video for the concept has also been released. Of course, while we can easily recognize all of the big screen boogeymen from movies like Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th, they’ve all been given lighter nicknames in the spirit of the colorful animated show.

The goal of the campaign is to fund a 10-episode first season of the web series, using the budget to hire “the most talented voice actors and impersonators on the market and also gives us the ability to produce the highest quality, most professional animation possible!” With a flexible goal of $10,000, the campaign notes that any funds raised will be used to create as many episodes as possible if their goal isn’t met.

Happy Slashers is an animated comedy series that turns all of our horror fantasies and dreams, er..nightmares into reality when we dive deep into the depths of Hell inside Freddy’s boiler-room where O’Face, Mikey, Jay, Chuck, Tex and Fred meet for group therapy sessions to become A+, high class, model citizens so that they can be safely placed back into society.

They Solemnly Swear To NOT Be Assholes Anymore.

They Promise.

For Real This Time!

The premise is unusual, but as the teaser video suggests, it’s certainly very amusing. Various perks in separate tiers are being offered by the campaign, and donors can get involved for as low as $5. You can learn more about the project and donate the crowdfunding campaign by visiting Indiegogo, and you can also watch the concept teaser below!
