Parking at hotel is open to public told by a member of staff so very difficult to get a place

smelt could of been coming from a vent to cupboard next door to room not pleasant which was in bathroom
Dusty carpets in room and corridors
Air conditioning did not work hot and very little ventilation we know you have to shut windows to work air conditioning we have stayed in many premier inns very little sleep as so hot and noisy with windows open. We had encouraged friends to stay over night in another room obviously but they had the sam experience felt awful as we had recommended premier. Breakfast: nice staff cold breakfast first inn we have stayed at where staff were not on ball with replacement cooked items asked for beans waiting for delivery told did appear later scrambled egg dry and cold to match the rest of cooked items did see hot scrambled egg being put out after we had eaten . Come on premier I can honestly say I would not recommend this hotel. The first time ever

Hampstead is a lovely big open space for walking with plenty of quiet areas and paths. Sadly marred by people who believe it's perfectly acceptable to allow their dogs freedom to roam uncontrolled, run up to other people and other dogs. Many take little notice of where their dog actually is or what it's doing. I saw several instances of a dog approaching a small child who was nervous and the owner ignored what was happening.On one occasion 2 people were sitting on a bench eating when a dog jumped up on to the bench and forced them to move. I would hope these people are in the minority but seems they were all out last Sunday.
Queued at the Kenwood House cafe for 40 minutes to spend £9 on a sandwich and 2 awful coffees but I guess that's just how it is now.
Seems Covid does not affect people walking on Hampstead so there is no need to follow the government social distancing guidelines. We had to continuously move off the path to avoid people who had no plans to move to the side.
Saying that it was a wonderful days walking and after 30 years still has not lost it's charm.

Came here recently with friends for the first time. Beautiful park to go on long walks for! Getting lost in the greenery away from the busy city was great fun. You can also get an amazing view of Central London from the top. Highly recommend, will return soon!

Living in Hampstead is always magic.🙏🌳 Hampstead village boasts some of the most elegant,enchanting exquisite grade 11 listed buildings spanning several centuries imaginable. The quiet tranquility and cosmopolitan feel of the borough is so special. Musicians 🎶🎤 , celebrities and other famous people live all around here including Ricky Gervais, Boy George, Jude Law. On and around the heath there is so much to see and Kenwood, the Spaniards Inn is a delectable must.😊👍

We visited Hampstead Heath in July 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed. Given we were staying in Finchley, we caught the bus to Golders Green and then another bus up N End Road into Spaniard's Rd if my memory serves me correctly. We then walked down through the 'bush' to the Parliament Hill Viewpoint and then down to the base of Hampstead Heath down to Savernake Road. We took the walk at a slow pace it and it took us approximately 45 minutes. It isn't very well signposted so make sure you are familiar with the area before you go in. Plenty of people walking dogs who are all so very well behaved. Felt safe at all times. When you get to the bottom of Hampstead Heath near the paddling pool, be sure to have a read of the by-laws as it is an amusing read in places! Make sure you take some drinks and snacks with you.

We came to London for a few days not to partake in the normal tourist attractions but to discover some of the more out of the ordinary areas.
Armed with a pre printed guide we did a 4-5 mile circular walk of Hampstead Heath. The walk took in all the keys areas of interest including the many ponds, all three outdoor wild swimming pools, the glorious views from Parliament Hill and Kenwood House where we stopped for a brief repose.
It amazed me given the vastness of this area how the walkers and joggers seem to know it like the back of their hand but I guess I would be the same back home in my area of the country.
It is definitely a place to come back to armed with a picnic, a good book to read and time to people watch.

Hampstead Heath is a wild area of London. It has rambling woods, numerous ponds and hills. Hampstead Heath is well-known for being one the highest vantage points in London. From the ridge, you can see many sights including St Paul's and the City of London. The ridge is 134 meters tall (325 feet). Hampstead Heath is a common, it dates back to Roman times. Hampstead Heath is a popular place for hiking and swimming. Among those who have enjoyed strolling in the park are Karl Marx and George Michael. Hampstead Heath is 320 ha (790 acres) in area.

A delightful area for a countryside walk. The paths and trees make it seem as though the city is far away. Signposting is not good - and some paths are muddy. It helps to have a map - or to know where you are going.

Having spent many a summer afternoon on and around Primrose Hill, I never felt the need to venture to Hampstead Heath, and on reflection, I wish I had.
What a lovely view of London and there are some architectural gems here to enjoy.
I heard there’s a pool specially designated for women, but in these days of equality, I’m surprised they are allowed to get away with such blatant sexism. As a free swimmer and female, come on ladies, don’t be so prissy!

If this is the only open space you have in London then I suppose it is worth going to. Maybe we are spoilt leaving near the New Forest and the Purbecks but not impressed at all. It was a walk in open space. Once inside the park you have to guess which way you want to go. The "wildlife" areas seem an excuse to let stuff get overgrown and unkept ( which I know is the point but too much of the area is now for the wildlife and if there is no wildlife during the day as there are so many people it is not very interesting to look at). The villages which skirt the Heath are very lovely though, so have a quick walk on the park and then go for a walk around the villages instead.

Hi, not sure which bus you need from Kensington as we stayed in Shoreditch. However there is a good website called Transport for London which lets you plan your journey. Website address is tfl.gov.uk. Also suggest you download the app Citymapper which is also very useful.

Hampstead Underground is close to the southern end of the park. It's pretty far down. The lift is slow but don't even think of doing the stairs - you might not be able to race after that. I was heading to Kenwood House in the northern part of the park so I took the tube to Archway Station (Northern) and then caught the #210 bus.

Cycling is allowed on the Heath, but only along specific shared use paths. We don't allow cross-country cycling and also have some paths for pedestrian use only. Our website features maps of the shared use paths and a few other helpful things. TripAdvisor doesn't allow us to link out, but you can find that if you search for Hampstead Heath Cycling.

With kids I would opt for the Parliament Hill section with its wide open fields, running track, playground, and swimming pools. Bring blankets and a picnic lunch. There is a Marks and Spencer right next to the Hampstead Bus and Overground Station that offers a variety of pre-made meals and drinks so you don't have to haul your picnic onto the tube or bus. About a twelve minute walk from Belsize Park tube station, the last station within zone two on the west branch of the Northern Line. A visit afterwards to Camden Market is a good side trip.

We are visiting London next weekend and I want to visit the Magdala Tavern in Hampstead as I am a crime fan . I know that the pub is now closed but I also hear that is has been changed in to flats or is it as it was when it was open, can any one help.

Well I have not been there at night so I would suggest you familiarise yourself with the topography during daylight hours, take a friend for safety and a torch or flashlight to find your preferred viewing position.
I would imagine there would be some light pollution but the possibilities of good viewing would be endless.
There might be local groups that go out, there might be some restrictions on hours. There are a number of ponds so beware the risks involved.
