      Critics Consensus

Halloween Ends -- for now, anyway -- with a frequently befuddling installment that's stabbed, slashed, and beaten by a series of frustrating missed opportunities.

      Audience Says

Halloween Ends packs a few slasher thrills, but many fans will be disappointed by the way it concludes Michael Myers' gory saga.

Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) Some of it is gory; the opening is good. None of it is scary. Worse, none of it has any tension whatsoever. Jan 3, 2024 Full Review Candice Frederick Huffington Post “Halloween Ends” is a bummer. And everything about it makes it seem like it’s willing to go. We should let it. Dec 6, 2022 Full Review Catey Sullivan Chicago Reader Halloween Ends is notable mainly for its cockamamie plot and its reverence for the original. Nov 3, 2022 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed It aims more for a psychological angle within a slasher, rather than another hack and slash, and I appreciate it for that. Oct 31, 2023 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu It is fun to see Curtis do her feisty grandmother act flinging refrigerators about with vim and vigour, but otherwise this end to the trilogy is quite dreadful. Oct 4, 2023 Full Review Nadine Whitney Mr. Movie's Film Blog Myers is the walking embodiment of evil. If the repeated message in Halloween Kills wasn’t enough to get that across, then the script of Halloween Ends hammers it home. Sep 17, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Antonio S This hurt to do because I'm a Michael Myers fan but when the star of the movie is in the movie for 5 minutes and gets embarrassed, it defeats the purpose of Halloween. The entire movie is spent on a random kid. Massive disappointment to the Halloween franchise. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review Jordon For the “Last Halloween Movie” the direction they took was not one I agree with. Definitely ended on a sour note Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Marshall I enjoyed it but it could have been more Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/22 Full Review Marty A little lengthy on some of the dialog but overall I think they did a good job on the blood and guts Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/14/22 Full Review Alexandra It really didnt have a good plot. It felt like they were just doing it for profit and I love the Halloween movies. I was disappointed tbh. Plus I only got like 20 mins of Michael screen time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/12/22 Full Review David K The cop was the most likable character, and maybe the junk yard owner. Literally no one to root for! plot was confusing. Hopefully, That really was the end. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/10/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
