Hakim Ziyech has caused a stir on social media after he posted a video of his unique goal direct from a corner for Ajax against Chelsea just hours before the Blues' crucial Premier League clash against Arsenal. Ziyech has struggled for minutes this season and has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks.

And it appears his frustration at Stamford Bridge has got the better of him after he posted the clip of his only goal against Chelsea in his career. The clip was posted just hours before Chelsea's clash with rivals Arsenal and unlikely helped his chances in making the starting line-up and was once again named on the bench.

There was plenty of excitement surrounding Ziyech's move to Chelsea in 2020 given his performance in the Eredivisie. The Morrocan forward was seen as one of the most creative attackers in European football and Chelsea beat a number of clubs to his signature.

He showed glimpses of his talents in his debut season, scoring six goals and providing four assists. Frank Lampard was clearly a huge fan of the attacker, but Ziyech soon fell out of the starting line-up when Thomas Tuchel took charge.

He failed to change the German's mind and was made available for sale in the summer transfer window. AC Milan showed interest but were unable to meet Chelsea's asking price which left Ziyech once again needing to fight for his spot under Tuchel.

But after Todd Boehly surprisingly sacked Tuchel at the start of September and replaced him with Potter, it was seen as a chance for a number of fringe players to be given a fresh start. However, Ziyech has played just 15 minutes of Premier League football since, being left on the bench in games against Crystal Palace, Brentford and Manchester United.

He was once again an unused substitute in the Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb this week. And he was once again left out of the starting line-up for the game against Arsenal, with Potter sticking with an attacking quartet of Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Potter's team choice comes just a few hours after Ziyech made the eyebrow-raising decision to repost a famous goal he scored for Ajax against Chelsea back in 2019. At the time, Ziyech was seen as one of Europe's top talents and he showcased exactly what he was capable of from set-pieces.

Stepping up to take a corner at Stamford Bridge, Ziyech whipped in his cross which bounced off the far post and into Kepa Arrizabalaga's face before dropping into the net. The camera then panned to Ziyech who turned to face the Chelsea fans, shrugging his shoulders before waltzing away to celebrate with his Ajax team-mates.
