Domestic arms industry important for the Polish Army

On Monday, January 23, the head of the Ministry of Defense visited H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych sp. z o.o. in Poznań. H. Cegielski Plant is also involved in the production of vehicles and equipment for the Polish Army.

“2015 was a breakthrough year in terms of investments in strengthening the Polish Army as well. Consistently since then, the Law and Justice government has been developing the Polish Army. We are establishing new units in place of those that were abolished under the previous government and equipping them with modern equipment. We are including the Polish industry in this supply chain, in this production chain. This is what is happening in the case of the Cegielski plant,”

Mariusz Blaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, said during a meeting with employees of the H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych sp. z o.o. (English: Rail Vehicle Factory Ltd.) in Poznań.

“H. Cegielski plants produce, for example, elements for the Vistula program, that is, for the Polish Patriots. They also produce bridges for the Polish Army. Why are these plants so important? Because this is the great history of our country, the great history concerning industrialization and the leap in civilization. But all this was neglected and abandoned under the Liberal government. We are consistently recreating it. We order weapons for the Polish Army always in Poland. In plants that produce Polish weapons,”

    the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

“Now, at Huta Stalowa Wola we are ordering modern weapons. We are recovering all that was sold out during the PO-PSL coalition government, under Tusk, the prime minister of unemployment. We are creating new jobs and strengthening the Polish Army. It is the security of our Homeland that is most important to us,”

said the head of the Ministry of Defense.
