Worst defensive 2nd baseman in baseball with a sub .650 OPS is enough to hate Jonathan India

None of that helps. This isn't high school. 162 games is a grind.

It's not about being a drill sargeant. Fundamentals should have been set in the minor leagues. It's about accountability, and Bell doesn't seem to be much of that type of manager. As well as his coaching staff. So far this season I've seen a lot of miscommunication out on that playing, as well as just bad decisions on balls.

Do you just let that stuff slide? It's not to be dealt with publicly, but in that clubhouse. And IMO they lack leadership due to their own inexperience and youth. Whose guiding this group in that clubhouse?

If they're playing like high school kids, perhaps they need to be coached like high school kids.

Yes, that's facetious. But if it causes them to refocus on fundamentals and take their mind off the streak, I don't see how it would hurt.

How about when I make the lineup card up your butt is on the bench for 2 games? The kangaroo court is not a bad idea either. We're not winning anyway, so a kick in the a▪︎▪︎ couldn't hurt.

You're clueless. Easy steal based on RE24 and a LHB behind Steer.

Hey! He had a solid March (3 games). Of course we're halfway through May. He may be a great guy in that clubhouse and dugout. A real rah-rah kind of a guy. Don't care. What do the numbers say? I hope I'm as wrong as rain; but taking into consideration his defense also (where u gonna start him?), I think India is at best a utility player. He had a solid '21 season. That's it.

    He's not a youngster. He's 27.

Thanks to FS1 yesterday and MLB today finally see a couple of Reds games in a row.

What I see is a team that always finds a way.....to lose. That's the mark of a bad team, when you always find a different way. Losing runners on the basepaths during possible rallies (at least 1 yesterday and 2 today). Always giving up the timely hit. And failing to make the timely hit.

As currently constituted this looks like a 100-loss team. The only player we have who is remotely a "star" is Elly ...and he's not really an All-Star caliber yet.

    Time to focus on fishing.

I didn't realize we had a day game today.. Glad I missed it though.
Why is everyone on the game thread mad about Fairchild? What did he do? (I didn't see the game, I can't tell from the comments).

Cruz has been pretty solid this year, hard to get upset about Bell going with him in this game, IMO.. If I recall, he threw less than 20 pitches yesterday, so it's not as if he was tired.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

He pinch ran on 1st in the eighth with one out. He got deked on a routine fly to center, when the SS or 2B acted like it was a tag. He slid into 2nd instead of retreating, and got doubled up back at 1st 8-3.

You clearly have reached an unhealthy disgust for Bell to the point of being irrational and not seeing that the players are at fault at all.

Bell could be fired today and Im fine with that. Talking about India and having to explain to you why he is not very good and youre writing that everyone likes him. What the hell does that do to help them win. His leadership is overrated at this point. Chico Ruiz and Jimmy Stewart were loved and respected by his teammates too but youre not making them FT starters and then expecting to put up with that type of production because they are liked.

At least those players could field at multiple positions and very well at it.

Every post is Bell this and that. THE PLAYERS HAVE ACCOUNTABILITY TOO.
