Seeing this iconic western series from its beginnings is so great. If you're longing for entertainment that's not riddled with foul language, not reliant on graphic violence, has zero idiotic zombies or vampires, is missing sexual inuendoes at every turn, and absent of today's non-stop parroted social and political talking points that are anything but entertaining, check Gunsmoke out. The stories are really well written, the acting by both series characters and guest actors nothing short of excellent, and they pack a lot into a small window of time. It's easy to see why this series entertained people for decades. The only knock I will mention is not tied to the show itself: while the DVDs are absolutely high-quality for viewing, the numbering on the discs can make it difficult to know what the next one to watch in the series is. Other than that, we're thoroughly enjoying watching a couple episodes each night. If you want to step back in time or you're looking for something safe for your young kids to watch, look no further than Gunsmoke.

This is a very attractive set of discs; dozens and dozens of discs. it is well organized and I love all of the features included on the discs, such as old commercials that aired during the original series. I rated the set a four star because on of the plastic cases was partially shattered. Too much of a pain to return the whole set just for that, so I'll probably just live with it

Disappointing, and easy to rectify if the supplier would have the courtesy to reply to my report of the shortcoming. I have sent them the message twice, and have not received the courtesy of a reply. No way to do business.

The product was exactly as promised -- a brand new, cellophane wrapped (entire box as well as each individual disk set - all 6 of them); obviously came from the studio, i.e., a factory product -- NOT a copy of originals or non-genuine in any way.

The ~$250 USD price blew me away considering the cheapest that I could find it on Amazon USA was $444 + sales/use tax and possibly shipping as well. So, I paid 1/2 price of the cheapest identical product found in the United States.

The product arrived in ~2 days here in New Jersey from Japan via DHL and required signature, although you can select an option after ordering to have DHL just leave it at your door.

I honestly was leery at first about ordering something from Japan, but my worries/fear was totally unfounded.

I would absolutely purchase another product(s) from this seller again without even thinking about it.
