David d Enjoyed it very much. Very outdoorsy and if you love nature. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review YuFan L 看《Grizzly Man》得出的一點心得: 人類總是對outcast極為苛刻,極為嘴損。 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review Audience Member A truly unique concept and a thought provoking story that I thoroughly enjoyed. The film has a raw, slightly low-fi vintage early 2000's look to it that I love, featuring beautiful shots of nature shot by Timothy Treadwell. It feels at times almost comical, with some of people featured almost seemingly acting or spoof like even though it clearly isn't. Themes range from nature, loneliness, mental health, escapism and ultimately freedom which is what Treadwell found in on way or another. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Judy F There were some interesting interviews with business people about grizzlies but the movie focussed less on bears and more on the mental problems of Timothy Treadwell. It looks like his alcohol abuse did some serious brain damage, sad to expose his looniness. He seems to be someone who could lose it and be a danger to human groups. Some loopy female friends, sad that he took one of them with him Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/24 Full Review Maddie O I feel for this man ❤️🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🩷 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review John A Somehow this doc that focuses on the hyper-eccentric individual in question ends up being not only entertaining but also a bit heart-wrenching. Herzog however, also communicates the wonderful intentions and impact Treadwell ultimately had. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Heather Havrilesky Salon.com Of course, the legendary filmmaker can't resist inserting his own outsize ego into the story, but somehow this documentary has room for two larger-than-life characters. Jul 16, 2019 Full Review Zadie Smith Daily Telegraph (UK) Herzog has his documentary in hand, explaining that what we have here "iz on astone-ishing story of beauty and depth". He's not wrong. Jan 16, 2018 Full Review Joshua Katzman Chicago Reader Like so much of Herzog's work, both narrative and documentary, this is an engrossing look at obsessive behavior gone terribly awry. Apr 29, 2008 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills No Herzog series would be complete without the unsettling curiosity and horror of Grizzly Man. Nov 10, 2023 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz Compelling viewing, Grizzly Man weaves heartbreak, horror and plenty of humour...
