Ellis has acted in many multi billion dollar franchise movies like Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 & 4, Titanic and Star Trek, opposite Oscar winners like Geoffrey Rush, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Donald Sutherland and Angelina Jolie in Beowulf and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and superstars like Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and with Demi Moore and Kiefer Sutherland in Forsaken.

Ellis was nominated for an Emmy award as part of the season 3 ensemble cast of the hit tv series 24 (he portrayed the duplicitous virus broker Michael Amador), was a staple on the long running soap opera Days of Our Lives and has had series regular, recurring and guest star roles in many of the best remembered American tv series of the last few decades; The X-Files, CSI, Dexter, NCIS, Hawaii Five-O, Knight Rider and many more.

Stage

Ellis has performed leading theatre roles in original casts of West End musicals like Miss. Saigon (Chris), Starlight Express (Rusty), Bugsy Malone (Fat Sam) and Out of the Blue (John Marshall) with esteemed directors like Nick Hytner and Trevor Nunn. Invited by Queen Elizabeth ll to sing at two Royal Command Performances, as soloist at St. Paul’s Cathedral in The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber for HRH Princess Diana and can be heard on multiple musical theatre cast recordings.

Ellis originated the role of Rusty in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new Starlight Express which premiered at the Apollo Victoria Theatre London in 1992 and again at The Las Vegas Hilton in 1995.

Out of the Blue

Watch Ellis performing as John Marshall, the role he originated in the musical Out of the Blue which premiered at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End in November 1994.

Improv

Ellis co-created and performed in the hit 2nd City improv show ‘Pub’ whose guest star cast included Mackenzie Crook from the Office, Matthew Rhys from The Americans and Brad Sherwood from Whose Line is it Anyway.
He’s also performed with the Groundlings, recorded Cartoon Network’s first improv cartoon episodic, and starred opposite Alanis Morissette in the all improv Comedy Central show ‘We’re with the Band.’

Motion Capture

Ellis’ is an experienced film and interactive/games motion capture actor having worked on the movie Tintin for directors Steven Spielberg & Peter Jackson as well as Robert Zemeckis’ Beowulf with Sir Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Angelina Jolie and Robin Wright.
