The goal of this exercise is to identify the verb tense - future, conditional, imperfect.

Before we start doing that, we will explain how to form each of the tenses.

FUTURE TENSE

The stem of the future tense is identical to the infinitive tense form and we form the future tense by adding future tense terminations , -ás, , -emos, -éis, -án to that stem.

For example, the verb bailar \to bailaré, bailarás, bailará...

CONDITIONAL TENSE

The conditional tense is formed similarly to the future tense, the verb stem is the same, but we add different terminations; -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, -ían.

For example, the verb bailar \to bailaría, bailarías, bailaría...

IMPERFECT TENSE

There are two different ways to form the imperfect tense in the Spanish language. One is for the verbs ending in -ar and the other for those ending in -er and -ir. Nevertheless, we form the stem the same way for both versions (we remove the infinitive terminations -ar, -er, and -ir from the infinitive form) and we add the adequate imperfect terminations.

-ar; -aba, -abas, -aba, -ábamos, -abais, -aban

For example, the verb bailar \to bailaba, bailabas, bailaba...

-er / -ir: -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, -ían.

For example, the verb comer \to comía, comías, comía...
