- Cavalier1994Bethesda, MD125 contributionsWhat a beautiful park with trails along the Potomac River and amidst the park’s renowned bluebells blooming on this Easter Sunday. It’s amazing to see the bluebells on either sides of the trail at certain points. Ample parking and the 3.5 mile hike to and from Great Falls park on the Virginia side (with magnificent overlooks of the rapids) is generally flat. There is no required fee which is great and there is a well designed visitor center but we did not go in. - Phantastic4uTysons Corner, VA1,285 contributionsRandomly spotted the Great Falls Wine Outlet during several drive-bys in Great Falls at the intersection of Colvin Run Mill and Walker Road. So, I decided to check it out...and I was pleasantly surprised!!!
This place has a wine bar with wine tasting and they sell FRESH BREAD and Excellent Cheeses!!!
The staff was VERY Warm and FRIENDLY. Unlike some wine stores/bars, they were not strict on when things started or ended. They were all about CUSTOMER SERVICE! Got love that!
Final surprise, you typically expect some pricing in Great Falls to be a rip-off or pricey, but this location was VERY REASONABLE and even had the BEST, LOWEST Prices on some wines!!!
