Grace Is The Daughter Of Famous Parents
Grace Gummer, born May 9, 1986, is the daughter of three-time Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep and Don Gummer. By the time Grace was born, her mother had already won two of her three Oscars, for her roles in Kramer Vs. Kramer and Sophie’s Choice, respectively. When it comes to being the daughter of the lauded actress, Grace admitted in a July 2016 profile with The New York Times how it used to affect her. “It used to bother me,” she told NYT. “I try not to think about it, or it could really get to me.” Grace has, in fact, gone on to forge her own successful career.
Grace Is Also An Actress
Grace started acting at a very young age. Her first credit, per IMDb, is listed as Young Clara in the film The House of Spirits, in which she portrayed the younger version of her mother’s character in the 1993 feature. Grace didn’t appear in another film or project again until she was roughly 24 years old, by 2010. From there, she appeared in TV roles in shows like Gigantic, Zero Hour, and The Newsroom. Between 2013-2015, Grace appeared in Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story.
But she’s also proven that she can handle film acting, too. Grace has appeared in films like Frances Ha, which stars Greta Gerwig, and The Long Dumb Road.
