Born on June 6, 1992. Son of a politician and a recognized banker. Gonzalo spent most of his life living alone because of the work of their parents, so he started watching movies everyday looking for role models. At the age of 18, his father demanded him to study economics to fullfill the family legacy. After 5 years of not doing well, he droped out his studies and started taking theatre classes at the Fernando Gonzalez Academy. There he made the first basic courses of acting and then he decided to study AV Communication to start making films.

After one year in the institute, he decided to make his first short film called "Sr. Larraín", mostly because his teachers didn't let him make stories with the ideas he intended.
