Reviews
- Edited 4 years agoThere's barely a trace of the neotraditionalist sound often found in Suzy's earlier works on Give Me Some Wheels, but that doesn't mean it's any bad. The record is mostly uptempo numbers with some ballads thrown in, and they're all as good as you'd expect out of Ms. Bogguss. I can't fault Capitol's picks for singles (the title cut, "No Way Out", "She Said, He Heard"), but the achingly beautiful ballad "Live to Love Another Day" (not to be confused with the later Keith Urban song, also an album cut from his Be Here set) definitely should've been released as one as well. A worthwhile effort from one of the best female singers the boom years ever spawned.
