ALBAWABA - A picture of the American fashion model and TV personality Gigi Hadid has caused an online storm after the model was spotted with a Starbucks drink with her despite her support calls for Palestine.
Since the start of the latest Israeli war on Gaza, the Hadid family were among the first to talk about Israeli aggression against Palestinian people and their suffering amid ongoing assaults by the Israeli army.
Many criticized the American/Palestinian model Gigi Hadid for drinking Starbucks amid boycott calls, human rights activists released against the company and many other brands and chains including McDonald's, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Amazon, Disney and several other companies.
According to some social media users, the pictures of Gigi Hadid were taken on March 26 during the model's shooting of an advertisement for Maybelline New York.
A person wrote: "Gigi Hadid at Starbucks again..... and this isn't the first time. there's no way she isn't aware of the boycott. Bella will always be the superior sister."
Another commented: "Are we collectively going to ignore the fact that Gigi Gadid was at Starbucks? She was very vocal about Palestine but she doesn't know about the Starbucks boycott?"
The war in Gaza has killed at least 32,490 Palestinians since last October and left 74,889 others injured, Gaza’s Health Ministry said in a report on Wednesday.
