As one of my favorite all time country artists Barbara'a story is quite unique. A talented young girl raised in a home led by a strong father, she falls for a young man but wont succumb to young l8be without her dad's favor. She begins a musical career traveling the country in her dad's backseat with her sisters....she is so multi-talented no deterrent can hold her back....and as they say, the rest is history! Extremely enjoyable read. And I've read it many times. Its just intriguing.

Truly inspiring and incredible book!!!! Once you pick it up, you will not be able to set it down until you've read the whole thing at least twice. I have read this book several times over the years (purchased this one as a replacement) and it continues to inspire me in new ways. This is an amazing story of a woman who has had an unbelievable journey and came back from a devastating injury to reclaim her life. We can all learn from her story!

I'm a fan of Barbara Mandrell...always have been and always will be! I appreciate how this story is written in her own words and how she would be telling it. A lot is explained about the decisions made for her life as it is today. Thank you for sharing and know your faith, family values and talent is still appreciated!

I have always love Barbara Mandrell ever since i was a very young child. The queen of country exposes herself in every way possible, she lives through the happy times and suffered dramatically through her accident. I remember reading about the accident in the news paper, but never did i ever imagine to what extent her injuries were.Very beautifully written.. Get to know her up close, there are always things one can learn about her.

It was so nice I could buy this album. O live In S.Paulo/Brazil, and you will never find a CD like this one, around here. It came easily, and this is not the first one I buy. Its great to have a chance to buy a cd from US and received it over here with no problems at all. I have no idea how many times I heard it. Thank you.

I remember when Mandrell’s auto accident occurred. It made national news and opened up multiple scandals. The media portrayed Mandrell in an unfavorable light at that time. This book gives pretty good detail of what she was facing during that stage of her life and the psychological changes in her. My wife and I were both stunned to discover that Mandrell is still alive today. We were both under the belief that Mandrell passed away decades ago from alcoholism/drug use. We haven’t heard any of her songs on the radio in more than 25 years. Some of her songs are really good. The book portrays her as pro gun, pro Christianity, and pro traditional family values. We love that fact! The car accident dramatically affected her life and those around her. She thinks political correctness is nonsense. She retired from the performing business sometime during the 90’s. Since reading this book we have purchased Mandrell’s two gospel CDs of which we were unaware she made. She loves Elvis and his music. We think you’ll like reading this book.
