Geraint Wyn Davies is a Welsh-Canadian actor known for his versatility and range on stage and screen. Born in Swansea, Wales in 1957, Davies moved to Canada in his youth and began his acting career in the 1980s.
Davies made his Broadway debut in 1987 in the play "The Caretaker" by Harold Pinter, directed by David Jones. He received critical acclaim for his performance as Mick, a menacing and enigmatic character, and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Play. He returned to Broadway in 1995 in the play "An Inspector Calls" by J.B. Priestley, directed by Stephen Daldry. Davies played the role of Inspector Goole, a mysterious figure who investigates a wealthy family's involvement in a young woman's death. The play won multiple Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Play, and Davies received praise for his performance.
In addition to his stage work, Davies has had a successful career in television and film. He is perhaps best known for his role as Detective Nick Knight in the television series "Forever Knight," which aired from 1992 to 1996. The show followed the story of a vampire detective who seeks redemption for his past actions. Davies also starred in the television series "Slings and Arrows," which focused on a fictional Shakespearean theatre company. He played the role of Geoffrey Tennant, the artistic director of the company, and received critical acclaim for his performance. The show won multiple Gemini Awards, including Best Dramatic Series.
Davies has also appeared in a number of films, including "Cosi," "The Five Senses," and "The Boondock Saints." He has worked with acclaimed directors such as Atom Egoyan and Norman Jewison, and has received praise for his performances in these films.
