The band is Garcia, Melvin Seals-keyboards, David Kemper-drums, John Kahn-bass, and Jaclyn LaBranch and Gloria Jones-background vocals. The sound is from soundboard sources and is very good--warm, organic, and clean. The booklet has liner notes and photos from the show. The packaging is the usual for this series.
While there's good versions of the tunes on Disc 1, Disc 2 is the better of the two sets, mostly because of the song choices and the atmosphere of a second set. Plus there's a nice version of "Werewolves Of London" to close out the show.
Perhaps because it was Halloween, or that Jerry had fully recovered from his latest illness, or the energy of the audience. Maybe a little of each, who knows. All I can say is that this show is on fire from the start, and each song could be considered the essential version.
Both sets are strong contenders for any best of collection one could imagine, and the sound quality is as beautiful as the performances. The whole band is completely locked into the groove, and Jerry is playing his heart out on every track. Just stunning work from everyone.
If you’re familiar with this series, then this is a requirement for your collection, and perhaps my all time favorite live JGB show. I don’t say that lightly, as there are so many great shows, but this one just feels like something truly special. Get it!!

El sonido perfecto pero sobre todo esa sensación de que todo se acaba. Grande García en un momento en que el final casi se adivina
