I will admit that I did not know much about the battle at Cowpens National Battlefield. There is a nice Visitor's Center with clean restrooms, a small gift shop, knowledgeable park rangers, and a very informative movie. We took the guided tour with a park ranger. He did an excellent job explaining the battle and its significance to the American Revolution. (There are no snack or drink machines at the Visitor's Center. I recommend that you take water with you on the tour of the battlefield.)

Super neat place. If you research the reasoning behind why it is there is super interesting. If you're in the area and want to see something unique that's the place to do it.

This is an interesting history museum located in a small city. There are several rooms to wander through. I especially enjoyed the room featuring a mural on two walls of the Battle of Cowpens from the American Revolution. We have visited the National Park site of this battle so this visit to the museum added visually to what the battle entailed. Other rooms feature the history of the town and county. The information cards that we saw were composed in easy to understand language which would be good especially if you have children with you when you visit.

It's such an interesting little store. Although most of the stuff on the first floor is normal the second floor has so many interesting things.

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Art exhibit interesting, but not worth the stop by itself. Room with history of King's Mountain and Cowpens battles worth the stop

“Pay respects" to President Frank Underwood (of Netflix “House Of Cards”) at his “gravesite” in his “hometown” of Gaffney, SC. His gravesite is next to his Father’s. There are two headstones, set at the edge of a grove of trees, overlooking a small drainage swale.

He is buried next to the Father he despised, not in Arlington, as he expected. See Season 3 Episode 1 and the Season 6 teaser featuring Claire Underwood.

Immediately inside the Oakland Cemetary arched entrance. Look to the right (at about “2o’clock”) the two headstones are set apx 50 yards away, near a stand of tree’s, near the side road.

"Frank-ophiles" will note an American Flag on his "grave", upside down a'la "House Of Cards".

If you are looking for glass items, this is your place. Had a great selection of really interesting glass, and it's one of those stores where you can find all kinds of things you didn't know you needed. Great for rainy day browsing.
