He was to drive for Vector Sport in the ELMS racing category after a previous agreement. But, the latter went behind his back to get the services of the Aston Martin F1 reserve driver, Felipe Drugovich, for the upcoming 2024 ELMS campaign.

Gabriel Aubry is tremendously hurt by the antics of Vector Sport.

I'm obviously devastated by the situation between my former team and myself. As it stands, the team has elected to sign another driver despite using my name in both the 24 Hours of Le Mans entry list or ELMS Championship. After days of trying to find a solution, I am currently being denied meeting. I won't leave the sport I love the most like that, and I won't quit my dream: Win the 24h of Le Mans.

The former F2 world champion and Aston Martin reserve, Felipe Drugovich will be handling quite a few duties this year. On one hand, he has his reserve driver duties on the Lawrence Stroll-led team whereas on the other, he has now got a racing drive in ELMS. However, from Aubry’s perspective, the current situation is extremely hard to accept.

The 23-year-old will share the Vector Sport ELMS car with Stephane Richelmi and Ryan Cullen.

It’s good to know that I will be back in action in real races, bringing together my experience and my fondness for endurance racing. y job as substitute and reserve driver with Aston Martin in F1 continues with its full schedule; I will just be keeping busy on my weekends which up until now have been free.
Felipe Drugovich said in an interview with Autosport

Drugovich is a highly-rated racing driver. He has been on the fringes of securing an F1 drive on a couple of occasions but, because of certain reasons, just hasn’t been able to do so.

The Brazilian has immense potential as a racing driver, and considering this, it will be fascinating to see how he will perform during the 2024 ELMS season. People will have an interest in him during the campaign for varied reasons.
