referencing Friends (LP, Album) 184246
A mixture of Vanda and Young demos and their final studio single was not the debut on Polydor the band were expecting to release. The Easybeats broke up during their 1969 Australian, so the album was finished post break by Polydor with the band's demos. The Australian version features a different version of the song "Friends". Was a commercial flop in it's day, is an interesting mixed bag. The Aussie pressing is pretty decent too. Worth holding out for. referencing Holding On (LP, Album) 2495 004
I find it amusing that the album cover and in one place on the label that the bulk of the songs are credited to Leon Russell, when in reality, most of the tracks are by Brian Russel, a pseudonym for Vanda/Young.
