CVHS is more than just a school—it's a community of learners, explorers, and achievers! First off, CVHS isn't just about textbooks and lectures. Sure, we have those too, but our teachers bring learning to life with interactive lessons, debates, and even hands-on projects. From dissecting frogs in biology to creating our own short stories in English class, every day is a new adventure in learning. But it's not all about hitting the books. CVHS knows how to have fun too! From sports teams that dominate the competition to clubs for every interest under the sun. Whether you're into robotics, drama, or environmental activism, there's a place for you to shine at CVHS.
Walking through the halls of CVHS feels like being part of one big family. Teachers know you by name, classmates cheer you on, and there's always someone ready to lend a helping hand.
In conclusion, Crescenta Valley High School isn't just a place to learn—it's a place to grow, explore, and thrive.

My experience at Crescenta Valley High School has been an amazing experience. It is academically rigorous but the hardest classes have the best teachers who can make the challenge worth the while. As part of the cross-country team which is one of the best in the state, I gained a family of supportive and hardworking people that enabled me to better myself every day and become a leader as a varsity runner. The visual arts department also gave me an amazing experience as a graphic communications student for 4 years. The school allowed me to participate in projects to use my creativity to help the school community. The only thing I might change is the overbearingness and strictness of school administration, although I’m sure that is part of why our school had a safe environment. Of course, every school has its flaws and bad teachers, but my overall experience was amazing.
I originally transferred from a different school in the district because I felt like there was a lack in academic support and student advocacy. Neither of which are particularly lacking at CV. There is no shortage in programs for helping struggling students, from peer mentorship to super tutors, the Academy tutors, office hours, etc. Student Senate also meets once a month to discuss different tactics to improve student survey results, from confidence to satisfaction. I really felt as though staff were very understanding and supportive, except some teachers being incredibly stern and not allowing any leeway for things like tests or missed assignments despite a medical excuse. Another thing was the multiple "incidents" happening at CV during my time there, from a false alarm of a shooting to a "break-in." The student body is also very concentrated with white people and Koreans. CV could be more diverse.
