Gene Siskel Chicago Tribune The filmmakers have mastered the blood but not the tedium of all of the predictable killings. Nor have they eliminated the '"hate-women" subtext to the entire series of films. Rated: 1/4 Dec 6, 2018 Full Review Austin Chronicle Rated: 0/5 Sep 3, 2011 Full Review Ed Gonzalez Slant Magazine The anxieties suffered by Tina throughout the film are well thought-out by the franchise's typically one-dimensional standards. Rated: 2/4 Sep 25, 2004 Full Review Kat Halstead Common Sense Media Others may be disappointed at another missed opportunity to revive a franchise that really feels like it's drowning at this point. Feb 8, 2024 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) The seventh installment is better than expected, because it reserves the final duel between protagonists...something akin to Carrie vs. Jason. Jay H Why does a dead guy breathe so hard? And why is he emaciated and muscular at the same time? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Samuel V Regrettably, this latest entry in the series fails to break the mold of its predecessors, delivering yet another lackluster cinematic experience. The plot struggles to engage, missing the mark on delivering the thrills and chills one might hope for in such a film. The performances, too, are uninspired, contributing little to a story in dire need of depth and nuance. Having committed to all nine of the original Jason films, I find none that truly stand out as commendable works of cinema. The special effects, a potential saving grace, also fall short, not living up to even the modest standards of their era. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/29/24 Full Review David C Que mal está echa la historia no tiene sentido además Jason de donde saca tantas armas como que está conectado con la chamaca es como en star wars no tiene sentido Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review Vladan A The movie is just bad, but some people, myself included, find it funny. It's so bad that you HAVE to laugh, so if you are willing to give it a try don't expect a good movie, but it may make you laugh. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Gorptholemew T 🍀 1.4/10 🚮 certified stinker 🚮 Yea I got it I see now I'm sorry but I can't do this anymore 😭😭😭 I hate it Carrie vs jason worst crossover ever. The end was pretty good though Grade D- Super boring kills Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/23 Full Review Blu B It's Just Stupid, Bad, and a really bad sequel. I don't get why they got rid of the comedy and fun of six and went back to the old campy beats of the other ones. You knwo besides the same generic soundtrack everything else is bad about it. Maybe the acting is slightly better but Tina is such a stupid character giving her psychic powers. It's so stupid. She's bascially the same generic cookie cutter Final Girl you see in every run of the mill slasher just with psychic powers. What really weighs this is it feels especially in the final 20 minutes or so is how much it feels like it is sleepwalking through everything. If you switched out scenes from the other ones except 6 in this, there is a 50/50 chance I would'nt notice. It really feels like its just going through the progressions more than anything the longer it goes. Nothing except the dumb psychic powers sticks out at all about it. Skip This.
