Fresno High School Reviews

I loved the teachers I had at Fresno high and the food has gotten better over the years, but the only downside is that they don’t grasp ahold of kids that vape… and when I would try to use the bathroom during passing period I literally cannot cause of girls congregating and smoking in the bathrooms like it’s very annoying I hope they change that very soon. And also the locks on the bathroom stalls like they need to be put back on the stall doors. And last but not least… parents please for the love of god raise your kids right to not smoke or break things at their school it’s saddening for guests to come onto our school campus and them seeing the way things look cause kids break things and mess everything up. But overall the academics are pretty okay and everyone at Fresno high is pretty nice. That’s all I gotta say.
I previously attended Kearny High school in San Diego but had to move to a new city and attend a new school. I am now a senior and it is my first year attending Fresno High School. I had to meet new people, and adjust to an entirely new school environment. Despite the significant turn in my life, I made an effort to build relationships with my new teachers and make new friends. In a few short months, Fresno High felt like home. Fresno High School has prepared me for college within my classes and the resources available to all students. The counselors here have been supportive of my future goals. My favorite class is Leadership because it has helped me feel more connected to the school. It has taught me responsibility, collaboration, and commitment. I appreciate how welcoming and helpful my teachers and the entire Fresno High staff has been. I hope to show the Fresno Unified School District’s staff that their help has guided me towards my academic goals this school year.
There was never any real care for the students, often I saw teachers or admin trying to force students to follow unnecessary rules that had nothing to do with our school environment. When it came to our school budget Fresno High did horribly with evening things out. Girls sports always had lesser uniforms and equipment compared to the boys teams, and because of this players and coaches would pay out of their own pockets to change that. I noticed that the English department and Biology department were the best teaching staff they had here, all the teachers were filled with joy and enthusiasm it was pleasant to learn from them. Besides them I never saw other teachers go out of their way for the kids. Security as well tends to be controlling and doing more than what they were hired for, mostly the female staff overreacts to small things. I would like to see the school do more for the students and create more opportunities for them, because we had very little compared to other high schools
